Working as
HR Talent Acquisition Officer at BELGATECH is above all about having great
meetings and interacting daily with passionate and fascinating engineers. Over
the months, I discover new stories and immerse myself in the professional life
of hundreds of talented people who have chosen me as a partner to support and
guide them in their careers.
And it is
because this job allows me to give meaning, to boost the professional life of
my Consultants, and to support them in achieving their career goals, that I
work with desire, enthusiasm and dynamism, in making a point of honor to offer
quality assignments in line with the areas of expertise and aspirations of my Consultants.
To me, Consultancy is a great choice when you’re passionate and attracted to several subjects. It brings the possibility of increasing your professional network by working in different companies and/or different areas. It is also very comfortable for people like me, who don’t like the feeling of being trapped in a very specific job, and I really appreciate the fact that Consultancy opens a very broad range of possibilities. It brings a feeling of freedom, when you’re able to choose the expertise areas you want to develop, and deeply discuss with your Manager the missions you best fit in.
I remember the day I came to BELGATECH for the first time to meet the staff, before I got hired. I expected it to be very formal and I got a bit stressed. But I was totally wrong, and what I thought to be a very formal interview turned to be very relaxed discussions with everyone, talking about our hobbies, our holidays, where we come from… I was very pleased that it wasn’t only about diplomas and professional experiences, and that the personality was at the foreground. I found it very human.
Today I’m glad to say that I’m working in a mission that is perfect for me and that I wouldn’t change for anything, thank to BELGATECH and my Manager. Their professionalism and great care to my expectations led me in a place where I feel great!
As my first experience with consultancy, BELGATECH has opened up my eyes to a completely new spectrum of possibilities for software work.
Being a Consultant means most of my time and effort is spent at the client, which, in my case, is very comfortably close to the BELGATECH offices.
For as little time as I spend in contact with the BELGATECH colleagues, the company and its people have become like a second family with the colleagues at the client forming a third. The atmosphere on the work floor as well as the interactions with all my colleagues is wonderfully close and professional at the same time.
With an eye for continuous improvement and professionalism, as well as a genuine bond between managers and consultants, everyone is always ready when needed.
Personally, I find it very heart-warming to see fellow colleagues, who I mostly only see for a few times every year, make an effort to address me in my native language, Dutch rather than French. This mind-set to be open to multi-lingual talent is commendable and enforces the familial bonds. It also encourages diversity among colleagues and allows for sharing more complex and nuanced experiences.
Not a day goes by where I regret taking that first step towards consultancy with BELGATECH. What was initially a new frontier has evolved into the norm and I would not have it any other way.
The job of
Consultant can hardly be explained in one sentence. To understand it, you have
to experience it, you need to immerse yourself.
I had the
opportunity to discover the profession of Consultant with BELGATECH 6 years
ago. I have worked in very exciting missions on a wide variety of subjects such
as: continuous improvement, maintenance, quality control, transfer of
production between international sites, business cases on international
projects…
This
profession includes a strong organizational component but also human, we meet
new people from all levels every day. Being Consultant is the opposite of
getting bored or to fall into routine!
What attracted me strongly to BELGATECH is the diversity of clients and missions. I also appreciate that, at BELGATECH, the Consultant has the choice to remain a generalist or, conversely, to specialize in a subject / sector.
The
framework is very empowering. We have the opportunity to actively participate
in the development of the company. The learning curve is very strong
and it is a real springboard for career. The profession allows you to evolve a
lot, especially on the managerial and technical dimensions.
In a more
informal register, numerous events are organized by BELGATECH. We are able to
meet other Consultants and to share experience and best practices, always in a
friendly relaxed environment.
